We are delighted to announce that Ian MacMichael photography will be working with the owners and civil engineers of a significant restoration project in the Rope-walks district of Liverpool City Centre. The project involves the complete restoration of 4 adjacent properties in Seel Street. At the moment the project is waiting planning and funding applications to have a positive outcome, with work scheduled to start towards the end of this year. Photographer Ian MacMichael said "this is a really exciting project and hopefully the grant funding will come thorough for the restoration to go ahead. It is fantastic to be involved in what could be both a historically and culturally significant project for the city of Liverpool." Paul Day, structural engineer and director at Muir Associates, has worked on many projects in Seel Street, including the Base 2 stay hotel and Peacocks bar, will be working closely with us. Ian met Paul on Friday for a preliminary test shoot and to discuss how the project may evolve. More information on the project will follow shortly including the history of the building and old photographs. Here are some photographs from the test shoot......
